A small interview on designsponge.com
I’ve built a cross-dimensional portal, between this world, and one that exists in my mind. A dog I tried to extract, in it’s travels back and forth from reality to imagination, multiplied. And in crossing the mind/body barrier, variations caused by fluctuations in time, space, materials, knowledge and emotions occurred. One creature did not make it in time for my exhibition, but I’ve installed the portal in the gallery so you can see him looking through from the other side.
Come visit these displaced creatures, that belong and don’t belong, at Jane Hartsook Gallery.

I opened up an Etsy shop for some of my ceramics.
It’s hard for me to part with them but one can only have so many ceramic animals in the home without making it look like an old lady’s apartment.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, I’m just not ready yet.
So, I am putting some up for adoption. I hope they make it to nice places.
Aya Kakeda, Sara Varon and I made a window display installation for Desert Island, a book store in Williamsburg. It’s a little preview of a show we will have as Captain Canoodle in Mexico City next June. The display should be up until the new year so check it out if you are in Brooklyn! It’s a great store filled with amazing books and art. I would buy everything there if I had the space and $.
